It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles E. Mertz of Minneapolis, Kansas, born in Beloit, Kansas, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Mertz and Dorothy Mertz (Swinton). He is survived by : his wife Cheryll Mertz; his son Mark (Gail); his grandchild Savanna (Isaac); his daughter Missy Witt (Rome) of Minneapolis, KS; and his grandson Logan Elliott (Riley Shanks) of Lincoln, NE..

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Minneapolis Recreation Commission for youth baseball and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
