He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest McClain and Fannie McClain (Winters); and his sister Gwen "Punky" Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Wilson; his brothers, Ernest "Buck" McClain (Helen) of Hesston, KS and Jack McClain (Edith) of Gaylord, KS; his sons, Scott McClain (Donatta) of Salina, KS and Kelly McClain (Michelle) of Gilbert, AZ; his grandchildren, Nolan McClain (Hanna) of Tucson, AZ, Brianna McClain of Anchorage, AK, Jordan McClain (Annemarie) of Costa Mesa, CA and Kyle McClain of Gilbert, AZ; and his great grandchildren, Thalia and Felicity. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson Family Funeral Home (405 Argyle Ave, Minneapolis, KS 67467). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the United Church of Bennington, Bennington (222 N Nelson St, Bennington, KS 67422).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the United Church of Bennington, the Bennington Senior Center or Bennington EMS and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
