Jerry Sorenson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Sorenson in Minneapolis, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Royston (JR) and Edith Marie Sorenson (Mortimer); his son Robert Michael; his son-in-law Jim Gillberg; his grandson John Paul Breen; his great grandchild Teagan; his in-laws, Mahlon and Hannah Ash; his brothers-in-law, Dennis (Dee) and George Ash; and his niece Ellen Ash Mitchell.
He is survived by: his spouse Sandy Ash; his children, Jeana Breen (Chris), Jodi Gawith (Larry), Salina and Jerry Lee; his brother Larry (Judy); his grandchildren, Jamie Hoff (Mike), Matt Breen, Jessica James (Jesse), Lacey Swetson (David) and Abigale Sorenson; his great grandchildren, Samatha, Sadie Hoff, Ethan (Emilee), Lucan, Louden James, Justin, Brooklyn Swetson and Briar Breen; his great great grandchild Stetson; his former wife Sandra Kruse; and his pet Koby. He is also survived by many cousins, family members.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gypsum Community Room.
