Darrell Wiswell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 6, 2025, at the age of 92, Darrell Wiswell of Montezuma, Kansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darrell Wiswell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leslie and Loula Wiswell (Odneal); and his siblings, Carl Wiswell, Lena Wiswell, Alma Leona Burr, Leora Williams and Georgia Trahern.
He is survived by: his wife Jennie Fern Frank of Montezuma; his children, Chester Wiswell (Brona) of Montezuma, Ed Wiswell (Sandra) of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Carolyn Mayhew (Chester) of Shell Knob, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Amber Meister (Shane), Todd Wiswell (Ashley), Blake Wiswell (Shyree), Lara Evans (Ryan), Jennifer Luth (Jonathan), Chester Edward Mayhew (Perla), Kayla Grimm (Aaron) and Suzanna Paneno (Mitchell). He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel (506 W Cortez St, Montezuma, KS 67867). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Montezuma Community Center (508 W Sunnyside Ave, Montezuma, KS 67867). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Banner Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel Home or Christ Church of Haskell County in Sublette.
