He was predeceased by: his mother Mary McVey (Fair); and his wife Darla Stevens. He is survived by: his father Royce McVey of Dodge City; his children, Joe McVey (Dana) of Tonganoxie, Amanda Foskuhl (Richard) of Montezuma, Stacia Elliott (Aaron) of Dodge City and Andrew McVey of Dodge City; his siblings, Greg McVey (Shirley) of Roswell, Denise McVey of Port Aransas and Jeff McVey of Kansas City, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Rhett, Emry, Lane McVey, Jentry, Kady Foskuhl, Wesley, Coleman Elliott and Beckham Castillo.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Evans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel.
