Sherrill Esau Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sherrill Esau (Montezuma, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2026 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sherrill Esau to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Esau and Edna Amick Esau; his son Jeffrey; his brother Dalmont Esau; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Mininger, Raymond Giesbrecht and Ervy Giesbrecht.

He is survived by: his significant other Joyce Schmidt; his children, Sherlyn (James Koehn (Living), Deanna (Kelly Isaac (Plainsview)) and Michael (Janae (Homeland)); his siblings, LaFreda Minniger, Barron Wisc, Melba Giesbrecht, Karen Giesbrecht of Deridder, LA. and Lyvon Esau (Marlys); and his sister-in-law Nancy Esau.

Memorials are suggested to the General Mission fund at Homeland Mennonite Church.
