It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis LeRoy Carter of Morrowville, Kansas, who passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Carter and Ellen Carter; his wife Iola (Myers); his siblings, Charles, Mark, Mildred, Marcella, Mary Ellen and Rose; his son Darrel Carter; his granddaughter Christyna Carter; and his daughter-in-law Lori Carter (Nanniga).
He is survived by: his children, Larry Carter (Cindy), Bruce Carter and Deb Herrman (Bryan); his daughter-in-law Debbie Carter (Darrel); and his grandchildren, Franklin Carter, Christine Carter, Kailee Shamburg (Aaron), Kylee Ammermann (Ethan), Grant Herrman, Carter Herrman, Chandler Carter and Chase Carter.
A Memorial Fund has been established for Washington County FFA in Louis Carter's name.
