She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira McNeal and Beatrice McNeal (Harbour); her husband Orby Whitaker; her son Wayne Whitaker; and her siblings, Roland McNeal, Betty Whitaker, Erma P. Pearce and Norma Taylor.
She is survived by: her sons, Dave Franklin Whitaker (Mary) of Mound Valley and Marvin Lee Whitaker (Barbara) of Mound Valley, Kansas.; her grandchildren, Chris Whitaker of Parsons, Kansas, Steven Whitaker (Renea) of Mound Valley, Kansas, Stacey Leech (Jim) of Parsons, Kansas, Sherry Whitaker of Webb City, Missouri, Samantha Mathis of Parsons, Kansas, Cody Whitaker of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Chad Whitaker (Danae) of Parsons; and her sister Anna May Modesitt (Merle) of Thayer.
