She was predeceased by: her parents, Elden Johnson and Dessie Johnson (Koehn); her husband Elmer Unruh; her sister Gertrude Unruh; and her brothers-in-law, Clayton Unruh, Stanely Unruh and Marvin Holderman.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara Unruh (Gilbert) of Galva, Dan Unruh (Gail) of Galva and Pat Unruh (Mitch) of Hiawatha; and her siblings, Johnnie Johnson (Anna) of Atwood, IL, Orval Johnson (Myra) of Moundridge, Stanley Johnson (Marilee) of Galva, Barbara Unruh, Jeanne Unruh (Sherwin) of Galva, Joyce Wiggers (Warren), Vera Ratzlaff (Larry) of Moundridge, Beverly Holderman of Scotia, NE, Janis Boeckner (Don) of Greeley, NE and Susan Reimer (Mike) of Leland, MS.. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
