He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mohney and Floy Mohney; his siblings, Harold, Wayne, Ed, Myrtle, Betty and Jeannie; and his great grandchild Novalie Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Mohney; his daughters, Debra Mohney, Dana (Ed Smith) and Diane (Brad Ellis); his grandchildren, Eddie Smith Jr., Kayla Hansen, Ryan Ellis (Jessica Ashuburn-Ellis) and Dylan Smith; his great grandchildren, Kynslee Smith, Emma Hansen, Elly Hansen, Aubrey Smith, Jagger Smith, Emry Hansen, Ava Cooper and Mason Cooper; and his sister Mary.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Family Mortuary - Mulvane (501 E Louis Blvd, Mulvane, KS 67110). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mulvane Christian Church (502 Highland Park Dr, Mulvane, KS 67110).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude.
