As we bid adieu to Verna's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Verna has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Winfrey Daniel and Verna Frances Rhoades (Hindes); her husband Dwaine Vernon; and her son Rick Vernon. She is survived by: her sons, Donald "Todd" Vernon and Jason Daniel Vernon; her brother Jimmy Rhoades; and her grandsons, Ricky Vernon, Daniel Vernon and Trent Vernon. She is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Verna's name has been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 North Hillside Street, Wichita, Kansas 67219.
