It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Laverne Dickens (Neodesha, Kansas), who passed away on April 2, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon McRoberts and Ethel McRoberts; and her son Larry Glasgow. She is survived by: her brothers, Jim McRoberts of Neodesha, KS and Raymond McRoberts of Independence, KS; and her children, Robert Dickens (Melody) of Neodesha, KS, Loren Dickens Jr. (Cindy) of Neodesha, KS, Veronica Donald of Topeka, KS, Tami Payden of Neodesha, KS, Shawn Dickens (Giscelle) of Mission, KS, Shane Dickens (Tracy) of Shawnee, KS and Pat Glasgow of Coffeyville, KS. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren, and her 27 great grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to either Harry Hynes Hospice, A.W.O.L. of Independence, and the Bible Baptist Church.
