He was predeceased by : his parents, James Roy and Vergie Lucille Hare (Dannels); his wife Ruth E. Kuykendahl; his brothers, Melvin Hare (Jean) and Jim Hare (Dorothy); and his brother-in-law Robert Huser.

He is survived by : his children, Kevin Hare (Sara) of Pearland, TX and Lori Melton of Onalaska, TX; his sister Shirley Huser of Neodesha, KS; his grandchildren, Pete Kailey Cody Melton (Painter), Ethan Hare, Liana Muniz and Ethan Haley; his niece Connie Burkhead; and his great-nephews, Fred and Steven.

Memorials have been suggested to the Wilson County Medical Center Foundation and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
