With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cecilia Ann Marhofer of Ness City, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Cecilia Ann leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Cecilia Ann may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Jones and Allene Jones (Riggs); her husband Basil Marhofer; and her son-in-law Charles Frey. She is survived by: her children, Tara Frey of Ellis, Kansas and Tony Lewand of Houston, Texas; and her nieces, Janet Clark and Cheryl Thomas (Larry).
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home (207 N Pennsylvania Ave, Ness City, KS 67560). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Ness City Methodist Church (316 N Pennsylvania Ave, Ness City, KS 67560). A burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at the Ness City Cemetery (1000 E Cedar St, Ness City, KS 67560).
