He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Merryfield and Myrtle Merryfield (Schamaun); his former wife Revel Chapman Merryfield Coen; his wife Elaine Pool Merryfield; his son Bradley Dean Merryfield; and his siblings, George Delbert Merryfield, Donald Duane Merryfield (Charlotte Sisk), Arlene Merryfield Pearce (Blaine Pearce) and Ilene Merryfield Norton (Leonard Norton).
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl J. Merryfield Rich and Deana K. Merryfield Armstrong; his grandchildren, Emily Rudy, Travis Odom (Allison), Nicholas Merryfield, Cody Merryfield and Maverick Merryfield; his stepchildren, Sharon Pool Erskin, Debbie Pool Hawley and Duane Pool (Faye); and also William Middleton Odom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home (207 N Pennsylvania Ave, Ness City, KS 67560). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beeler Cemetery (1 S Ln Rd, Beeler, KS 67518).
Memorial contributions may be given to the Beeler Cemetery Fund or the American Kidney Foundation.
