He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Jacob Whipple and Cecil Lucile Davis; his wife Joyce Earllene Harvey of LeRoy, Kansas.; his parents-in-law, Earl Harvey and Idell O'Dell Harvey; his siblings, Gertrude Slagle and Earl Whipple; his brothers-in-law, Floyd Slagle, Dave Johnston, Charles Eugene Harvey and Gail Harvey; his nephews, Brad Slagle, Victor Johnston and Joshua Young; and his grandson Tyler Mills.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven (Pam) and Shane (Becky); his grandsons, Aaron Whipple (Aidan), Daniel Whipple and Seth Whipple; his siblings, Rose Johnston, Lois Mauch, Peggy Young, Terry Whipple and Ned Whipple; his siblings-in-law, John Mauch, Jeff Young, Kay Whipple and Carolyn Harvey; Alainya Abdelkader, Cassandra Martinez (Domingo), Allison Mills, Lachlan Whipple, Isabella and David Martinez.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home (207 N Pennsylvania Ave, Ness City, KS 67560). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Ness City Methodist Church (316 N Pennsylvania Ave, Ness City, KS 67560).
