It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Audrey H. Zimmerman of Newton, Kansas, who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Zodrow and Helena Zodrow (Sulzman); her husband Simon P. Zimmerman; and her son Martin Zimmerman. She is survived by: her children, Sam Zimmerman (Stef) of Newton, Kansas, Sandy Phenneger of Newton, Kansas, Nancy Hiebert of Newton, Kansas and Annette; and her grandchildren, Cody, Shane Knauss, Kevan, Derrick Phenneger, Angela, Rebecca Schmidt, Sara Shell, Kristy Hermstein and Amy Phenneger. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM and from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Petersen Funeral Home (215 N Main St, Newton, KS 67114). A rosary was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (106 E 8th St, Newton, KS 67114). A burial was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (1024 E 1st St, Newton, KS 67114).
