Donald E. Horst Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald E. Horst of Newton, Kansas, who passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald E. Horst to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence A. and Ida G.; and his brother Delmar Horst. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Horst; his children, Elizabeth Dyrst (Martin) of Chicago, IL, Andrew Horst of San Francisco, CA and Nathan Horst (Lara Ressler) of Harrisonburg, VA; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Micah, Jal and Ella; and his siblings, Ruby Sawin (Tom) of Harrisonburg, VA, Roy Horst of Naples, FL and Twila Van Rossun (Rick) of Newton, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Hesston Mennonite Church (309 S Main St, Hesston, KS 67062).
