Doris Mae Liggett Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Mae Liggett of Newton, Kansas, born in Canton, Kansas, who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Haas and Pauline Haas (Richert); her husband Walter Liggett; her son George Liggett; and her siblings, Reuben Haas, Lillie Schlotthauer, Elsie Gerloch, Dorothy Helmer, Harvey Haas and Bernice Haas.

She is survived by: her daughter Linette Martin of Newton, Kansas; her grandchildren, Lauren Jankord, Seth Jankord, Garrett Martin, Emily Herrman, Annia Martin, Justin Martin, Madalyn Tapia and LaKrista Liggett; and her great grandchildren, Sawyer Jankord, Liam Jankord, Hudson Martin, Grayson Martin, Waylon Liggett-Stansbury and Keegan Herrman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Meridian Baptist Church and Harry Hynes Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
