It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred E. Langenegger (Newton, Kansas), who passed away on May 5, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Edward Langenegger Sr. and Evelyn Ruth (Rutschman); his siblings, David and Evelyn Jean; his wife Ruth Ella Wiebe; and his son Jonathan.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kristy Cowles Willis (Chris) of Wichita, Jonathan Cowles (Jessica) of Colorado Springs, Joshua Cowles (Sarah) of Wichita, Shae Langenegger of Wichita, Brecyn Langenegger of Wichita and Makaylah Langenegger of Wichita; his great grandchildren, Julia Willis, Melody Cowles and Lydia Willis; his sisters, Orrine (Renie) and Liz; Debbie Cowles (Stephen), England and Steve of Newton.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for Berean Academy of Elbing, Kansas.
