He was predeceased by: his parents, Eben Wedel and Julia Wedel (Schroeder); his sisters, Evelyn Bartel and Leola Koehn; and his grandson Jantz Wedel.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce E Jantz; and his children, Rodney, Roger and Cindy Fulton. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorials in Gerald's memory may be made to Grace Hill Mennonite Church and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
