With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gordon Lack in Newton, Kansas, born in Arkansas City, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his sister Kathleen Walker. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Jean Turner; his children, Jaye Stanko (Tom), Loy Lack (Trisha) of Lansing, Veri Stroud of Newton, Lyle Lack (Shannon), Lon Lack of Casper and Larry Lack of Port St; and his sisters, Royce Hurst of Arkansas City and Karol McNeil. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren: 22 great-grandchildren: and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Petersen Family Funeral Home (215 N Main St, Newton, KS 67114). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Baptist Church (1515 N Anderson Ave, Newton, KS 67114). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southern Baptist IMB and left in the care of Petersen Funeral Home.
