It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Guadalupe Martinez of Newton, Kansas, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Guadalupe leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Devara Martinez and Josephine Morales; and his wife Frances. He is survived by: his children, Lora Martinez of Newton, Lisa Moreno of Newton, Guadalupe Junior Martinez of Newton and Gregory Martinez of Kansas City. He is also survived by Eight grandkids, two great grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home (120 E Broadway St, Newton, KS 67114). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (1024 E 1st St, Newton, KS 67114).
