He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Hale and Marie Hale; and his sister Kimberly Lynn Hale. He is survived by: his wife Jaucquie Hale; his son Corey Scott Hale (Jenny) of Virginia; his sister Connie Rhodes (John) of Newton; and his grandchildren, Preston Hale (Florida), Parker Hale (Texas) and Stephanie Werdowatz (Nathan) of San Diego. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
