He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Holmes and Gladys Holmes; his son Tom Holmes; his siblings, Wayne Holmes, Opal Shanks and Wilma Ruttgen; and his great grandchild Ariah Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary Holmes; his daughters, Crystal Hempler (Jeff) and Sheryl Swanson; his grandchildren, Mindy, Cindy, Jessica, Kimberly Holmes, Terra and Ashley Scott; and his great grandchildren, JT, Adison, Preston, Penelope, Jonah, Isabella, Terence and Nova. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, supporting students entering the field of education-a cause close to Lloyd's heart.
