He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Applegate and Rachel Applegate; and his in-laws, Lee and Iris Base. He is survived by: his wife Ginger King of Newton; his children, Christopher King (Lynae) of Wichita and Carrie Claassen (Lance) of Newton; his sister Suzanne Chandley of Hutchinson; his sister-in-law Connie Griswold (Sharon Musser) of Newton; and his grandchildren, Henry, Ava Claassen, Dani Littlefield, Chloe and Victoria King.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, and left in the care of the funeral home.
