He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Heck and Eleanor Heck (Walters); and his siblings, Jimmy, Gilbert, Dennis, Marvin, Wanda and Eleanor.

He is survived by: his sons, Douglas of Duluth, Bradley (Jeanie) of Nickerson and Michael Heck of Ft. Collins, Colorado. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
