It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zetta Marie Blay of Newton, Kansas, born in Newkirk, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey Owen and Lela Fern Shurtz; her husband Wilford Blay (Will); her son Kenneth Jr.; and her sisters, Rita Fern Busby and Mary Lou Cheney.
She is survived by: her children, Gaye Pennington (Kirk) of Valley Center, Kansas, Kenna Terrell (Dennis) of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Greg Kivett (Shannon) of Lenexa, Kansas; her grandchildren, Erin Duvall (Chris) of Rogers, Garrett Pennington (Erin) of Manhattan, Amber Moore of Tahlequah, Brady Wilkins (Desiree) of Highlands Ranch, Courtney Kivett (Mike Miller) of Olathe and Brogan Kivett of Overland Park, Kansas; and her great grandchildren, Haylen Moore, Aubri Moore, Branden Wilkins, Isabella Wilkins, Jack Duvall, Connor Duvall, Claire Duvall, Ethan Pennington, Everett Pennington and Nolan Kivett Miller. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial has been established in her memory with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
