He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Clifton Hartzog and Dena Kroeze Hartzog Gillespie; his stepfather George Gillespie; his siblings, Earl Hartzog, Darlene LaRue and Daryl Hartzog; and his siblings-in-law, Martin LaRue, Patty Hartzog and Erma Gillespie.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Hartzog of Atwood, KS, Kyle Hartzog of Colwich, KS and Clifton Hartzog (Annette) of Wichita, KS; his grandchildren, McKenzie Hartzog and Alexis Gauntt (David); his great grandchildren, Callan Gauntt and Emilia Gauntt; and his siblings, Floyd Gillespie of Newcastle, TX and Dena Marie Way of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
