James David Moreau Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James David Moreau of Norton, Kansas, who passed away on March 25, 2026 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Patricia Ann Moreau (Davidson); his daughter Alizabeth; his nephew Brady; and his aunt Donna. He is survived by: his father Roger Moreau (Susan) of McCook, Nebraska; his wife Andrea Nekuda; his siblings, Brian Moreau (Beth) of Castle Rock, Janice Howell (Pat) of Cambridge and Brenda Buechter (Bryan) of Belgrade, Nebraska.; his stepsiblings, Ryan Vrbas (Christal) of Oberlin, Staci Meyers (Jason) and Katie Anthony (David) of McCook, Nebraska.; his nieces and nephews, Alex (Shannon), Kiel (KC), Bryce, Jake, Levi, Kathryn (Dave), Amber (Ricky), Emily (Lyle) and Breanna (Landon); his mother-in-law Alice Nekuda; and his sister-in-law Jenny Nekuda.

James later joined the Colorado Department of Transportation, where his significant contributions to the I-25 corridor project earned him professional recognition and an award.
