He was predeceased by: his brother Mark; and his grandparents, Melvin, Rosella Esslinger, Felix and Betty Pfannenstiel.
He is survived by: his parents, Dean Esslinger and Linda Esslinger (Pfannenstiel) of Norton; his wife Shannon Lea Beck; his children, Tyler Esslinger of Norton, Clayton Esslinger (Kortney) of Norton, Kenzie Unterseher (Kobie) of Norton and Garrett (Alexa Long) of Norton; his grandchildren, Braxton, Harper, Holden, Hayden and Brigdon; and his siblings, Cindy Lowry (Curtis) of Almena and Kevin Esslinger (Tara) of Norton. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins than can be counted and many friends.
