He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Albert "Jack" and Virda Hayes (Latimer); his parents-in-law, Charles A. and Ruth L. Sidles (Moss); his siblings, Berneda and Richard "Rich" (Janice Hayes); his sisters-in-law, Beula (John Bloom), Lyla (Floyd "Jack" Younkin) and Linda Schwarz; his son-in-law Keith "Skip" Petersen; his niece Barb Farmer; and his nephews, Steve Krizek, Ron Barnett and Mike Bloom.
He is survived by : his wife Nina; his daughters, Betty Petersen, Becky (Dick Dempewolf) of Colby, Brenda Hayes of Topeka and Bonnie (Rick Stramel) of Oakley; his sister Carolyn Sue Hayes (Colby); and his brother-in-law Bill Schwarz (Oakley). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
