He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Herman, Mary Lintel, Ben and Carrie Kruse; his parents, Ralph Kruse and Armella Kruse; his in-laws, Paul and Ramona Hujing; his sisters, Marilyn Hockersmith and Karol Swart; his brothers-in-law, Rod Wilkening and Terry Swart; and his nephew Ryan Hujing.
He is survived by: his wife Cheri Hujing; his children, Shannon Kruse (Paula) of Topeka, KS, April Droste (Dale) of Manvel, TX and Buzzy Koerperich (Kurt Anderson); his great grandchildren, Austin Kruse and Justin Kruse; his grandchildren, Cameron Droste and Cassidy Easter (William); his great grandchild Beau; his grandchild Bailey Rusk (Adam); his great grandchildren, Ian Koerperich (Brandi Horton), Piper Koerperich and Eli Koerperich; his siblings, Rodney Kruse (MaryLu), Connie Evans, Berny Kruse (Missy), Janice Wilkening and Robert Kruse (Chan); his aunt Geraldine Swart; and also, Wesley and Joni Farinacci. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Oakley (422 E 6th St, Oakley, KS 67748). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery- Oakley (3030 Logan County Rd 450, Oakley, KS 67701).
