Arvin left this world on September 15, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence H. Berding and Viola M. Berding (Groepper); his wife Patricia Anne Berding (Parks Mayer); his brother Harold Berding; his son-in-law John M. Pittman Sr.; and his grandson Paul Arvin Berding.
He is survived by: his children, Beth Weatherley (Larry) of Peculiar, Missouri, Alan Berding (Janet) of Olathe, Kansas, Susan Krewson (Darrell) of Katy, Texas, Jill Thompson (Dennis) of Union Star, Missouri and Lynn Berding Cusick (Sean) of Dallas, Texas.; his stepchildren, Scott Mayer (Kae) of Dakota Dunes, Kelly Sheveland of Sioux Falls and Kim Curry (Jim) of Beresford; his grandchildren, John Michael Pittman Jr. (Sara McDaniel), Shelby Pittman, Aaron Berding (Ashton), Andrew Berding, Luke Thompson, Gianna Cusick, David Mayer, Kyle Mayer (Kelsey), McKenna Rhoads (AJ), Riley Sheveland, Kaci Sheveland and Sam Curry; and his great grandchildren, Alexis Berding, Autumn Berding, Ava Berding, Liam Mayer, Griffin Mayer and Hadley Mayer.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (13615 W 92nd St, Lenexa, KS 66215). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
