He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Michael Schaefer and Mary Elizabeth Reinkemeyer. He is survived by : his wife Goldie E. Schaefer; his children, Dennis (Janet Schaefer), Mark (Kathy Schaefer), Karen (Paul Camarata) and Kathy (John Lubetich); his grandchildren, Sarah (Tim White), Brian Schaefer, Gina (John Tierney), Chris Camarata (Jackie Piszczek), Laura Camarata (Joe Szczybor), Kelsey (Ken McMaster) and Shannon Lubetich; and his great grandchildren, Lina, Lily and Lila.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 West 71st St, Overland Park, Kansas.
