She was predeceased by: her parents, Doretha Bernadette George (Deemy) of Iola and Vincent George; her sister Mary Jo George; her stepson Cole Phillips III; and her grandchildren, Cameron Ball and Ashley Ball.
She is survived by: her husband Cole Phillips Jr.; her siblings, Phyllis Brittingham (George), Louise Gladbach (Matt), Barbara Randall, Alice George and Frank George (Desiree); her children, Stephanie Cox, Russell Cox (Jessica), Andrea McGuire (Scott) and Ariana Vasquez (David); her stepdaughters, Debbie Boan (Phil) and Kimberly Phillips; and her grandchildren, Lauren Ball, Tyler Ball, Mitchell Ball (Sara), Madyson Ball, Lillianna Ball, Sophia Vasquez, Emilia Vasquez, Gabriel Vasquez, Dominic Vasquez, Nacole Boan, Lauren Johnson (John), Blake Forsythe, Waylen Ball, Brody Ball, Cooper Johnson, Hunter Johnson and Graham Johnson.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home & Cremation Service (105 E Loula St, Olathe, KS 66061). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (8300 Quivira Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215).
The family suggests contributions to Catholic Community Hospice Health, and/or American Cancer Society.
