He was predeceased by: his sister Kay McDaniel; and his sister-in-law Margaret Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Golleher; his children, Mala Klimek (Chris) and Shawna Paulsen (Bob); and his brother Walter M. Johnston. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Villa St. Francis, Olathe, Kansas.
