As David Pierce departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David Pierce may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David Pierce leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Sarah Ann. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Peterson (Wright) of Gardner, KS; his children, Amy Diaz (David) of McKinney, Mary Culross (Donald) of Gardner, KS and Joseph Peterson (Hilleary) of Marceline, MO; his grandchildren, Pierce, Isabella Culross, Rosalyn and David Peterson; and his sisters, Lana Hottel (Bill) of Liberty, MO and Susan Head of Marceline, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home (14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens (13901 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062).
