She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Mattern and Esther Francis Mattern (Vannoy); her husband Albert E. Ficken; and her siblings, Grace Kramer, Marion "Buddy" Bennett, Myrtle Alicia Moyle and Samuel F. Mattern, Jr..

She is survived by: her sons, Michael J. Ficken (Alice), Terrence "Terry" E. Ficken Gardner (Marlene) and Robert A. Ficken (Traci). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
