He is survived by: his children, Garry Michael Eckert (JoAnne) of Olathe, Gina Michelle Mathy (Mark) of Olathe and Elizabeth Anne Phillips (Shanon) of Polk City, Iowa.; his grandchildren, Noah Eckert, Luke Phillips, Blake Mathy, Ben Eckert, Katelyn Phillips, Hannah Mathy and Sam Phillips; and his sister Kathleen Johnson (Roger) of Independence.
