He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Francis Albert and Ida Alice McEvoy (Mhoon); and his wife Marilyn Jane Krug. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa R. McEvoy of Olathe, Michele J. McEvoy of Olathe and Tammy S. Weigel (Joe) of Russell, Kansas; his foster daughters, Brenda Smith of Hays and Laurie Smith of Salina, Kansas; his brother Dr. Francis Earl McEvoy of Springdale, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Preston, Quinlan and Aaron; and his pets, Princess Jane and Grayson. He is also survived by grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 13 foster great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary (610 N Maple St, Russell, KS 67665). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (425 N Main St, Russell, KS 67665).
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be given to St. John Lutheran Church.
