He is survived by: his mother Patricia Smith (Barham); his wife Janet Lynn Clore; his children, Christopher Smith (Gina), Katrina Smith, Melissa Smith and Jacob Smith; and his brothers, Mark Leroy Smith of Olathe, Kansas, Wayne Allen Smith of Olathe, Kansas and Houston Lee Smith of Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by one granddaughter and three grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gardner Church of the Nazarene.
