It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gene E. Montee of Olathe, Kansas, who passed away on May 5, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Goldie Mae Palmer and Earl Merle Montee; his wife Marjorie [Talley]; his son Mark; and his granddaughter Ruan.
He is survived by: his friend Jean Mason; his close friend Bonnie; his grandchildren, Debbie Montee Ross (Jason) and Nick Montee of Jay; his children, Savannah and Nicky; his granddaughter Marjorie; his granddaughter-in-law Debbie Montee Ross (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Caden, Henry and Chuck.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Penwell-Gabel's Olathe Chapel (14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062). Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kaw River Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.), an organization close to the family's heart and serving those also in need of smiles.
