He was predeceased by: his father Edward William Bergmann; his siblings, Kenneth, Harold, Gladys, Florence, Louise and Norma; and his daughter-in-law Katharine Rudy Bergmann.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Bowman Bergmann; his children, Kent, Trish and Lori (Jodi Schoeck); and his grandson Nicholas (Amber).
