He was predeceased by: his mother Wilma Norris (Jones); his son-in-law Ritchie Bell; and his brother-in-law Butch Messbarger. He is survived by: his father Charles Russell; his wife Lavone Norris; his children, James Norris of Raytown, Jeff Norris of Kansas City, Jodie Norris of Gardner and Jonie Bell of Olathe, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Josh Norris, Jacob Laessig, Larissa Bell, Mitchell Norris, Caden Norris, Zechariah Laessig and Kaytlin Barry; his great grandchildren, Emma Bell, Aria Carlson, Ellie Norris, Adonis Laessig and Azelea Laessig; and his siblings, Ronnie Norris (Genevieve) of Lake and Karen Messbarger (James) of Tarkio. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions "In Loving Memory of James Norris" may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
