She was predeceased by: her parents, Abbie Barthel (Morris) and Frank Barthel; and her daughter Brittany Pollman. She is survived by: her husband Bill Pollman (William); her daughter Nikki Wiarda (Jordan) of Lenexa, KS; her grandchildren, Abbie and Asher; her sister Dorothy Brown (Fred) of Bixby, Oklahoma; her nephew David Brown; her niece Debbie Stidham (Andy); and her uncle Frank Morris (Frances) of Keller, Texas.. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
When the pandemic hit, she finally stopped teaching, happily dedicating her spare time to her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you send a donation in Jan's honor to Christian Family Services, an organization that supports families with adoption, a cause near and dear to Jan's heart.
