She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Gillespie and JoAn Gillespie (Leeds); her husband Jerry Bateman; and her son Bradley Bateman. She is survived by: her son Troy Bateman of Overland Park, KS; her grandsons, Louis Bateman (Louise) of Lawrence, KS and Joseph Bateman (Kiran) of Raymore, MO; and her great grandchildren, Emilee, Paisley and Noa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the National MS Society, a cause near and dear to their hearts.
