He is survived by: his children, Kim Komorek (Ed), Kendra O'Brien (Dan) and Chris; and his grandchildren, Dalton, Allison, Walter, Ethan, Michela and Karmela.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home (14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
