Leo E. Rieke Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leo E. Rieke in Olathe, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Heft Rieke; his daughter Patty Regan; his son-in-law Marty Regan; his grandchildren, Donny Goode and Dakota Ellsworth; and his parents, Ernie Rieke and Lucy Rieke.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Goode (Don), Diane Ellsworth (Dan), Leo Rieke II (Rosie), Kathleen Rieke (Randy Hocking), Chris Jewell (Brian) and Bill Rieke (Mona). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (13615 W 92nd St, Lenexa, KS 66215, USA). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (8300 Quivira Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Santa Marta Benevolent Fund in memory of Leo Rieke, 13800 West 116th Street, Olathe, Kansas 66062 and to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church 13615 West 92nd Street, Lenexa, Kansas 66215.
