She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Jacobs and Ada Jacobs; her siblings, Richard Jacobs and Carolyn Bedell; and her brother-in-law Keith Christian.
She is survived by: her husband Greg Bien; her children, Stacey Arney and Alexander (Megan); and her sister Elaine Christian. She is also survived by two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marlene tirelessly fought the effects of Parkinson's disease for 28 years — a remarkable length of time. Donations can be made for Parkinson's research to KUEA (Kansas University Endowment Association).
